About TripleO Music

MOBO award winner, MP3 Awards winner & two time GMA nominee Triple O is a UK Christian act whose work and music speaks volumes to the masses – Starting his career back in 2005, hailing from the east side of London, Triple O has gone on to be one of the forerunners within the UK’s urban gospel scene.

Born Oluwatobi Oluwatobi-Oyefeso and from Nigerian descent, Triple has strived to remain clear and consistent with his direction, mission and music. The aim has always been to accurately communicate God’s heart to a mainstream culture without compromising the message of the Cross – a message that brings hope and life to those whomever encounters with it. Yet at the same time producing honest, thought provoking content which bridges the gap between faith-based music and non-faith based media, thus making this genre of music palatable to a generation in dyer need of true substance.

“There is such a stigma attached to gospel music, and I am proud to call myself a gospel artist, but not in the conventional sense – at the end f the day the message is why I do what I do. But at the same time – one cannot deny the fact that music is made to enjoy - and I enjoy doing what I do. So in saying this I just want to make good music, breaking all preconceived notions the masses may already have.”

Triple O has already collaborated and shared stages with artists such Trip Lee, Dwayne Tryumf, Phillipa Hanna, Jahaziel, Guvna B, as well as also featuring on the 2007 underground smash ‘Bibles Bibles’ which went on to get heavy rotation on Channel AKA (Formerly Channel U). Triple O is also a two-time GMA (Gospel Music Award) nominee.

Triple O has also been fortune enough to tour with Grammy nominated American Rap artists ‘Lecrae’, ‘Trip Lee’ and ‘Tedashii’; having shared stages share the stage with mainstream grime MC’s Chipmunk, Bashy and Ghetts, whilst receiving airplay from stations such as Capital Xtra, Premier Radio and BBC 1Xtra to name but a few.

In April 2008, Triple released his first official debut EP, ‘G2G – Grime to Gospel’. This went on to receive strong reviews from outlets such as Gospel Link Magazine, UKGOSPEL.COM and various other well respected distributors.

The song ‘’Come Home’’ (which was also released as an EP – and was the first single from the debut album) featured talented hip-hop artist Mighty and was an emotional mid-tempo track, which fused soulful hip-hop with today’s very popular electro sound. It has been described as “a great balance between contemporary urban music with a meaningful message. Rap meets worship.’ – Guvna B. And with countless remixes, it was voted UK Gospel’s biggest song of 2011 by Premier Gospel radio.

Subsequently that year, Triple O went on to release two mixtapes, ‘’The Overnight Garden’’ in February, and ‘’24: The Gratitude EP’’ in May - which have both culminated in a significant amount of downloads in their first weeks respectively.

His debut album “Flatline” was released on the 11th of July 2011, and did extremely well on itunes, culminating in a UK Tour. ‘’The Flatline Roadshow’’ took Triple O and the album to Luton, Birmingham and Manchester and was a highly acclaimed venture. This was later rewarded in October 2011 with a MOBO (Music of Black Origin) – the European equivalent to the BET awards; award in the ‘’Best Gospel’’ Category along with best song for ‘Teach Me How To Walk’ at The MP3 Music awards.

Subsequent FREE download releases included “The Overnight Garden Vol:2 – Growing Pains” and “Supersonicsonneteer” went on to gather as much interest as the projects which came before them thus propelling Triple to the platform he now stands on today.

His most recent project dropped in the autumn of 2013 another free mixtape entitled, ‘Telescopes And White Roses’ - which assembled strong underground acclaim accumulating over 2000 downloads in it’s first two weeks of release.

Triple is now currently working on his sophomore album, which set for release in the later half of 2015.

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
